The United Energy network is made up of 68,000 small to medium sized business customers, approximately 10% of the network's customers. Network charges make up 38% of the Victorian default offer electricity bill for an average small business customer.

The needs of our small to medium sized business customers greatly depending on their location, business size and their stage in the energy transition, but many have expressed a strong desire for simplicity, stability and flexibility, as well as more information and education.

	New zone substation at Shoreham to improve reliance on the Mornington Peninsula		Introducing optional time of use tariffs to encourage consumption away from peak periods		New flexible export products to unlock additional solar through smarter solutions (rather than building more network)
	Using aerial inspections to better manage bushfire and compliance risks from vegetation clearances		Uplifting our cyber security protocols to minimise the risk of a material cyber breach		Improved availability of network data, and support to analyse and interpret information
